FAQ’s

New to Pilates? Here’s how to begin:

If you’re a total beginner, welcome! We recommend starting with a specialised beginner class to learn the basics. If this class time doesn’t work for you don’t worry! Book onto another class and inform the instructor before you start that you are a complete beginner. Our small class sizes mean we can accommodate to all levels.

Mat vs. Reformer: What’s the deal?

Mat Pilates uses your own body weight for resistance on the floor. Reformer Pilates uses a specialised machine (bed) with springs and pulleys to provide either extra resistance or added support. Try both! Pilates is a method that is supposed to be supported by a range of apparatus!

Which one should a beginner choose?

You can start with either! If you want to master the basics of core control, Mat is great. If you want the machine to help guide your movement, go for the Reformer. You will thank your body for this beautiful movement in any form.

What do I need to bring?

We provide all the large equipment, props and friendly smiles! Just bring a water bottle and perhaps a small towel, especially for the warm infrared Pilates.

Is footwear required? For safety and hygiene, we require grip socks for all Reformer classes. If you don't have a pair, we have them available for purchase in the studio prior to your class.

What’s the dress code?

Wear comfortable, stretchy athletic gear that allows you to move freely. Avoid clothing with bulky zippers or buttons that might snag the equipment and please remove jewellery.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes, we have a 24-hour cancellation window. If you cancel before then, your credit will be returned to your account. Running late or missed sessions?: To ensure a focused environment, we cannot admit latecomers once class has started. Please arrive a minimum of 3 minutes prior to a class start time. Missed sessions without prior notice are unfortunately non-refundable.

Can I do Pilates if I am pregnant or Postnatal?

Absolutely. Pilates is fantastic for pre-and-postnatal strength, but please let us know prior to booking so we can ensure you are in a class specific for the pre-and-postnatal stage with a qualified expert. Normal classes will not be appropriate and your safety comes first.

What if I have an injury or health condition?

Your safety is our priority. Please inform us of any injuries before a class begins so we can tailor the exercises to your needs. Everyone will be required to submit a medical declaration before booking to ensure we can reach out to offer guidance for specific classes to join if needed! You may be asked to move your class in with a level 4 trained instructor to ensure complete safety and support. This truly is a studio for everyone, and we have experts who specialise in injuries/health conditions who can support you. We also offer private rehabilitation services working alongside your physio.

What are your hygiene standards?

We maintain a clean studio by maintaining regular deep cleans. We ask all clients to sanitise their equipment after their class with wipes provided by us. We ask all clients to treat the studio with love, let's keep this space somewhere we can all feel at home!
